As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 1,624 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (same as yesterday), 132 that have resulted in fatalities, 2 that are currently active, and approximately 1,383 that have recovered. Hmmm. Not so bad for a spike. But we're not outta the woods yet.
Of course our perfect weather continues. A shame there aren't more folks here taking advantage of it, especially if you want to visit Playa Manzanillo before it's lost forever to an Acapulco-style skyscraper hotel with a convention center. Disgusting to even think about.
Restaurant people are struggling, as they are everywhere. I hope those of you here are taking advantage of their delivery services. Places like Deborah's and Beccofino's in Ixtapa sure could use your business since the All-Included guests at the hotels tend not to eat out.

Are the restaurants & bars open for in house dining?
Some restaurants are open for dining, and many offer delivery or takeout. We tend to stick with delivery and takeout, though the restaurants are doing an excellent job practicing health protocols. I believe I’m far from alone in wishing people would not patronize bars at the moment.
