Interjet

Interjet cancelled our December flight and recently cancelled our February flight as well. It appears Interjet is not offering any flights between the U.S. and Mexico. At least not during the pandemic. I also know that they are having some serious financial issues.

Has anyone heard whether interjet has dropped U.S. - Mexico permanently or will routes begin again when things are more open. There is no hope of reaching anyone at Interjet (believe me, I have tried) but perhaps there is some information out there.

Thanks. I subscribed to Mexico New Digest. I’ll keep track. I’ve rather assumed that as far as our refund from Interjet is concerned, we are SOL. We also had the great good luck of holding tickets on Mexicana when they went out of business. At that time, our credit card made good on the cost of tickets. We’ll see how Interjet plays out. I’ve like using Interjet. I’ll miss them.

If anyone hears anything further, I’d appreciate knowing.

Interjet should be avoided. Their credibility is shot. We were able to get refunds through our card issuer luckily, much to the chagrin of crooked Interjet

I think it’s a bit late to tell me to avoid interjet. I think I now know it would have been better with benefit of hindsight to book elsewhere. But I appreciate knowing your credit card covered your loss. I’ll try it. As I said in my original post, I also had the misfortune to be booked on Mexicana when they pulled the plug. And then our credit card made good. It isn’t my first rodeo with cash strapped airlines.
