I keep getting email notices from Cheap-O-Air about flights to Z so I decided to click on the ad. Return flights through Mexico city on Aeromexico $571.52 CAD tax included same day down and back. From Montreal $599. Tempting with the testing happening ... We might be the only one at Embarc but hey it would be great service.

Keep in mind that Turdeau said today that changes are coming for returning international travellers. They will possibly have to quarantine at designated hotels (at the travellers expense) for 14 days. And that's just the beginning. They want to lock us down before spring break.

Canada is taking its lead from China which initiated that a while ago when they started getting new cases. Anyway I spent flight geld on new X-country ski equipement so Z is out for now. Still cheaper then a one way flight.

Check out Australian rules relative to traveling out of and back into country for Aussies. Think Canada and ultimately US will follow same rules if we don’t get this thing under control . Problem for Canada and US is what do you do with people returning home via land travel.

#55971 On Thursday, January 21, President Biden signed an executive order directing agencies to review international travel requirements within 14 days, including those scheduled to go into effect on January 26.

It is unknown at this time what changes, if any, will be made, although the order mentions the possibility of imposing test requirements for land crossings and entry by sea, self-quarantining after arrival in the US, and reviewing the type of tests permitted.

Prime Minister Trudeau said today that Canadians travelling out of the country might find themselves stranded. The airlines are thrilled.
