As of today, since April 18, 2020 Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 2,024 confirmed cases of Covid-19 (19 more than yesterday), 158 that have resulted in fatalities, 66 that are currently active, and approximately 1,672 that have recovered. La Unión still shows 1 currently active case while Petatlán currently shows 9.
While the numbers of hospitalizations and patients on respirators are coming down, they remain a little above the national average.
The Gobernador announced that Guerrero will remain in Semáforo Rojo for at least 15 more days.
Saw a couple of busloads of tourists arrive this morning and check in to one of the inexpensive downtown hotels. They all appeared to be wearing facemasks.
I hope America’s Cup sailboat racing aficionados are tuning in to the Prada Cup Final.

The wind was only about 12 knots so they only hit about 42 knots in the first race of the day. I don't remember the speed details in the second day of the race but in the semi finals, both boats hit 50 knots.

Talk about races!!!! This one has about half of the finishers in, solo around the world sail boat race, if you can call some of the machines "boats"
Mind blowing, I'm now hooked on it, and it's only every 4 years.... One of the SAIL boats broke 40 knots. Really

Over 50 knots in the semi-final races. They had a bit more wind. Truly incredible technology!
