Looks like we'll have another dance with what could turn into a tropical storm or hurricane by this coming weekend. An area of disturbed tropical weather is working its way up the coast from Guatemala on the same trajectory as Dolores did. Enjoy that sunshine while it lasts, and keep your eyes on the weather.

It's looking like Guerrero's schools will open back up at the end of August, barring another uptick in Covid-19.

If you haven't noticed yet, Plaza Kioto is getting repaved and refurbished with fresh cement even though it didn't need it (this is what happens when the mayor owns a cement company and can whimsically grant himself public contracts), so traffic is a disaster there, and it is recommended to avoid going through the plaza's roundabout if possible.

There's still quite a bit of tourism around. Lots of day trippers and overnighters, many driving here from all parts of the country. Good for some of our local hotels, tour guides, shops and restaurants.

Look at those green hillsides coming back!
