Bay water level

From looking at the web-cams it appears that the water in the bay is higher than normal over the last few days and crashing into some of the walkway. Do I have it right and if so is there any reason for this?

Yes. Hurricane Nora just spent the past 3 days growing off our coast.

Thanks, after I left this post I did see a short article about that Hurricane, which may make landfill near Puerto Vallarta.

It’s already hit Manzanillo and Vallarta and is now affecting Los Cabos and Mazatlán.

It made landfall 10 km north of Mazatlan at 10:am.
Nora gave us over 10 inches, that's over 25 cm of rain.
