Zihuatanejo reports 21 currently active cases of Covid-19 today. I think our community and most of the people who visit us are doing a wonderful job of helping to get a handle on this beast of a pandemia. The rate of occurrence for active cases in Guerrero is currently 9.1 per 100,000 inhabitants. The second lowest state in the nation.

The storm that rumbled by last evening never left any rain in Zihuatanejo's Centro, but it certainly cooled down the ambient temp and made for delicious sleeping last night. Another storm just rumbled by (and more is on the way) that rained a bit, again making the evening temps more comfortable after a warm but not too humid day. El Cordonazo de San Francisco appears to be arriving a little late this year. ;-)

As I suspected, the recent "inauguración" by the Gober Precioso of a new hospital in Petatlán was just a photo shoot. The hospital that was built over 3 years ago still isn't open. We've been clamoring for a new one here in Zihuatanejo for over 15 years and been promised one a few times, but so far all we got was a "remodeled" walkway and bike path that absolutely nobody here asked for.

Today it was announced that the 4t° Festival Anual de las Tiritas will be held on November 19th on Paseo del Pescador. Mmmmmm!

It's been 3 months today since we lost our grandson. A bit of a rough day for us. A special thanks to Tania for stopping by the other day to bring a donation to help with the medical bills. There are no words to express our gratitude to everyone.

Keep an eye on the weather while this tropical system slides along our coast. We're likely to get some heavy rains.

End of another amazing day in paradise.
