Zihuatanejo currently registers 13 active cases of Covid-19. La Unión registers 0 and Petatlán 1.

The rain finally arrived during the wee morning hours. Fuerte y sabrosa. Just what we needed! It lasted several hours, tapering off shortly after sunrise. Had to walk our dog wearing my raincoat this morning. We both loved it!

I'm seeing a few more faces of foreigners walking around downtown. Early birds. Keep'em coming! It's good to see you all!

Café Marina was doing a good business for breakfast, but it seems no one knows Daniel's is open. Spread the word and come enjoy mornings on the downtown beach.

A dark rainy morning is still beautiful on the waterfront in Zihuatanejo.

Gracias, amiga. I got to the beach just a couple minutes after all of this was a deep red, and actually the parts that look yellow were still more reddish, but my iPhone just can't seem to capture that color while adjusting for the low light. It lightens up the photo making the red turn yellow. If I try to compensate for it the rest of the photo looks black. So it's a tradeoff.

My suegro used to use this line whenever he stepped out of the house. A classic by Los Panchos. These extremely talented young men singing it are a promising new group keeping one of Mexico's most beautiful musical traditions alive.
