Driving from Mexico into the US

We drove down from Canada. No problems whatsoever crossing into the US....we were simply asked if we'd been vaccinated. Not asked for proof.

I've assumed we would face the same situation entering the US from Mexico, i.e. questioned about our vaccination status, maybe asked for proof of same. But no requirement for a negative COVID test - antigen, PCR or otherwise.

Anyone know for sure?

(We're aware of the requirements to re-enter Canada from the US).

Beginning in January you will be required to show proof of vaccine to enter the USA if you are not a U.S. citizen.

No one will ask you anything if you use the San Diego border crossings. Are you aware of the various visas? As you go further south, you will need to have proper documentation. A few years ago, one agent was very prickly but we chalked it up to indignation directed at Agent Orange. They are all back to their friendly, welcoming-to-the-gringos selves.
