Couple of questions before arrival

After missing last year due to the pandemic, we are anxious to return to our favorite place - Zihuatanejo! I have read posts regarding masks and where to wear them.
But have not seen anyone comment on what happens at the beach. For example if renting a beach chair at one of the beach restaurants at La Ropa or bringing your own chair to the beach, is mask wear common? I am referring more to the time not spent eating or drinking but rather catching some rays or relaxing. I am also referring to my spouse and I sitting by ourselves. Not in a large group.
Also what is commonly accepted practice during exercise? We are avid beach walkers and put many laps in at various times of the day. Is it common that people wear masks at this time?
Nothing against masks ….. have been wearing one for many months in Canada.
Very excited to return. Fingers crossed our flight leaves on Monday!

Wear masks when in proximity to others. Nothing drastic or fancy. Just common sense.

Like Rob said, it's all a matter of proximity.

At least at our beach access, you are expected to be wearing a mask when you enter. Then we take it off unless we end up within spitting distance of someone else, then we mask up.

We arrived last Saturday, New Years Day. Granted there was an amazing amount of people on and off the beach we found the amount of masks on the crowded beach was excellent. However and I mean a BIG however all in all we feel very safe. I compare the situation with back home on Van Isle, masks are mandatory indoors and outdoors is at your discretion. Even on the Combi's.
COME ON DOWN the weather is perfect as usual.

My three month stay last year on the Costa Grande was spectacular since the void of Caucasians were obvious due to the pandemic and lack of vaccinations. This year much different to the delight of the local economy. Wear your mask. Wash your hands. Love one another.
