We enjoyed a surprising early morning rain that caused the canal to break through the barra that had formed, and unfortunately a bit of trash got into the bay and washed up on the beaches. This one was a bit heavier than the night before. Made for perfect sleeping weather.

I have to say this has been the mildest month of May I can recall here. It never really got very smoky, and only 1 day was it close to being uncomfortably hot and humid, and even then not much at all compared to previous years. There continues to be a predominant breeze out of the north along our coast that's pushing the hurricane away from us. A little rain with no heavy deluges is all we need. Let's hope it continues.

Troncones just up the coast a little ways from us continue to be a nature-lovers' paradise.
