Beautiful summer day here in BC's Okanagan Valley, 33C and only 32% humidity. (Supposed to be 39C by Thursday, a tad on the warm side for me).
Perfect day for a margarita made with Bacardi frozen mix and my Viuda de Romero tequila. You know, the stuff that Rob says is responsible for the borrachos passed-out every night on Playa Principal.
There's booze in the blender! Viva Mexico!

OK, let's do true confessions.
I buy diet Dr. Pepper here and mix it with vodka. Fabulous.
Better yet, since we live here, have someone bring down the tubes of diet root beer powder, mix it with bubbly water, (Amazon) and mix it with rum. OMG!!!!!
I'll never admit to either of these drinks.

And I would never admit that when I was in my late teens (legal age in Canada was 18 where I lived) I mixed white rum and Mountain Dew and thought there couldn’t be a better drink.
Now I like to drink real, Cuban-made, Havana Club in a glass with a Bacardi label on it and smile quietly at my own humour.

I had a Tab and cheap whiskey phase. I visit it every now and then but being as Tab is no longer available, I substitute whatever diet cola I can find, and it's made with decent bourbon these days (all I have on hand). It's not the same. Nowhere near as good.

Mexico’s Villa rica 23 anos gold edition was voted best rum In the world a few years back. I have yet to try but will soon.
I can’t find Woodford Reserve here which I use to drink with one cube of ice or lemonade, which I can’t find here.
Now I drink tequila!
