Guerero's health officials report they currently register 2 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, NO cases in La Unión, Petatlán or Técpan, 36 in Acapulco, and 92 in the entire state.

After El Grito Thursday night the revelers finally let up around 4 in the morning... Then came the city workers and their army of vehicles including pipas de agua with high-pressure hoses and an army of people with brooms scrubbing the streets and sidewalks clean (and flooding the interiors of many homes and businesses), and tow trucks circulating horns a-blaring to awaken people with vehicles parked along the parade route so that they would move them or the tow trucks would (and did). Apparently using parking signage posted at least a day previously is an idea that still hasn't occurred to Zihuatanejo's city event planners. Hopefully before the next century.

Tormenta Tropical Lester is already being felt here in Guerrero and along the Costa Grande. It's been raining lightly but steadily for over a couple of hours now in Zihuatanejo. Winds are still light but the surf has been strengthening throughout last night and today. Never take tropical weather lightly. Be prepared for the worst. It will get extremely windy and it will rain a lot.

They offer three 1- and 2-bedroom villas, two 2-bedroom bungalows and two simple guest rooms. They also have a pool and they are pet friendly.

¡Cuidemos nuestro patrimonio!
¡Ya tenemos muelle!

What if they gave a parade and almost nobody came?
