Lots of surfers and science students in town for different events. There was another callejoneada for the students along the waterfront with extremely loud music ruining business for wandering musicians and several restaurants where folks sitting next to each other couldn't hear each other no matter how loud they shouted. Not sure why the city government thinks this is good for tourism. It isn't. I know my neighbors aren't pleased with the noise blaring in their homes and businesses.

Foreigners continue arriving and contributing substantially to our local economy. Sorry to hear how they keep getting harassed and fleeced by the Aduana authorities at the airport. The rest of us are very happy to see you and we're appreciative of your presence here.

We had another evening of refreshing breezes but no rain yet, though it looked like it might rain. Last evening after the rain it got cool enough to sleep under the sheets. The ocean is slowly cooling down and the currents are changing.

The official whale watching season isn't for another month, but they are already arriving as some pass by on their way further south. Hopefully that's a good sign for the whale population.

Daniel's Restaurant is open on the downtown beach and serving delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. They also feature live music in the evenings as the sun sets. A beautiful setting!

A brief evening rain made for a morning of palm frond silhouettes of dry sand amid the wet sand from the night before.
