According to Guerrero's health officials, Zihuatanejo continues with 1 confirmed currently active case of Covid-19. The neighboring municipio of Coyuca de Catalán also registers 1 case as does Benito Juárez. Acapulco currently registers 79 confirmed active cases while the entire state registers 92 cases.

The turistas autobuseros again were abundant in Zihuatanejo, overwhelming the abilities of the water taxis that quite obviously took too many of them to Playa Las Gatas today because they were still bringing back overloaded pangas well past dark even though most pangas have no navigation lights. It was quite chaotic at the pier, and I could only wonder what excuse the Capitanía del Puerto has for their irresponsible absence from anything remotely resembling the application, vigilance and overseeing of safe maritime practices in Zihuatanejo Bay. I hope it won't take a terrible accident before the light clicks on and they realize how negligently they've been shirking their duties.

This morning's parade was one of the longest, lasting from 8am to almost noon. Too much noise. Too many people, especially family members that march alongside their "little angels" ruining the view for folks trying to watch and take photos, adding to the chaos. And sadly, too many marchers who obviously were either already worn out before they even reached the halfway mark or they simply hadn't practiced. But as always, the charros were much appreciated. At least most of them stuck to the theme of the Revolución Mexicana.

A lovely lodging overlooking the Zihuatanejo Bay and Playa La Madera is Bahia Vista Condos. Two one-bedroom condos on La Madera Beach that can be rented separately or combined into one large suite to sleep up to six. One condo faces the bay, the other overlooks the town and mountains. Each has a kitchen. Steps from the beach, easy walk to downtown and popular restaurants. Pool.

Hola
Just curious, are bicycles allowed on beaches? They seem to cause a lot more damage than people or dogs do.

As far as I know bicycles are allowed. Only motorized vehicles are prohibited, though that law apparently means nothing to local authorities as is evidenced daily on Playa Blanca, Playa Larga, Playa San Valentín and Playa Pantla.

These gents were only posing for a photo. Not riding on the beach.

Although I may not be exactly answering your question, I was instructed to dismount from my eBike when I entered the malecon by the walkway that runs alongside the Hotel Palacio in Playa Madera. There was a woman (or maybe a man) who was occupying that little booth they recently constructed there which I guess is supposed to give tourist information. I was happy to oblige, although it seemed to me I had occasionally seen people riding bicycles on the malecon. But I do understand that maybe it should be reserved for walkers, joggers and pets?

An e-bike is a motorized vehicle and shouldn't be on the beach or the Paseo.

Point taken.
But of course you do understand that an e-bike can be operated like a regular non e-bike, meaning it can be pedaled without using the motor?
If I remember correctly there is a sign at the bridge by the museo, and possibly by the walkway at the pink building, that prohibits bicycles. I noticed that after my little incident. I’ll have to check next time I’m there.

The beaches that are designated "Blue Flag" specifically state that no bicycles are allowed.

Re: "Hola

In your opinion, aside that a bicycle could be a safety hazard on the beach (as well as elsewhere, such as el Parque Lineal) what do you believe is the "a lot more damage than people or dogs do" ?

As far as I know, They don't make noise or pollute in another way, at least from what I could perceive.

As another user commented---> "Blue Flag" specifically states that no bicycles are allowed."
I wonder what the reasoning behind that regulation is?
Gracias :-D
