I need a vacation from the vacation!

I tell you,it's not easy being on vacations I'm amazed to say I made it for breakfast today but then again,it was 13:30 by the time I made my way to Banana's. Being the day after Saturday,I'm in recovery. Good thing I'm not a heavy drinker as I made it back to my hotel around 04:00 and I can say I had no problems sleeping. But what a night!

I ended up going for a special dinner at a restaurant on calle Adelita name Cafeteria Ita. She doesn't do dinner usually but last night was a fundraiser for an orphenage and it was something different for sure. It was 200 pesos and there were about a dozen young kids in 2 different groups that performed some dances before dinner. I was cute to watch the proud little girls and even prouder moms and the teacher from the cultural center. Then it was time to eat after some speaches and it was first a squash soup that was quite good. Then it was some tuna steaks with rice and some veggies and the kitchen staff did a great job in the cooking and presentation department. We had about 30 people and a bunch of volunteers and it was a nice evening finished with a cake. Then I had to take care of a banking issue as I had forgotten to tell my bank I was going to Mexico and my debit card was not working. I went back to my hotel and a phone call later and it was resolved.

After a brief stop at Scotiabank,I headed to hop on a bus to Ixtapa to go check out Senor Frogs and meet some friends working there. It was actually really busy there and I met some folks in vacation I had seen last year. Fun times to be had but today I'm taking it slow. Then again,it's 15:00 and I have to check the zocalo tonight as it's Sunday and it's the place to be and then it's Oscars night and it's being presented on a screen of a local bar and I want to check it too. And I should be having a siesta now to be able to do it all so off I go...

Did I mention how lovely the weather is today? The sun is out,a bit of a breeze...I love it!
