Four of us are looking at doing a Copper Canyon tour this year, or next, and are wondering if anyone has done the tour?
We are considering going with the Torres Travel Company out of El Fuerte and would appreciate any info you have on them.
If you have gone on the tour but with another tour company we would be interested in that company as well.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'm told that taking the train up from Los Mochis is well worth it.

From my experience I would start the trip in El Fuerte. From Los Mochis to El Fuerte is not very interesting, but a bit of time spent in El Fuerte is very interesting. Enjoy your trip.

Take the train tour and be sure to visit the Valle de los Hongos y Las Ranas. Really, there's more to see and do than you'll have time for on a tour, but try to do and see everything you can. You will NOT be disappointed. The Rarámuri are very hospitable and their culture is fascinating.

I rode a motorcycle across the Copper Canyon. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I did it on my own but there is a motorcycle tour company operating in the region:
I think this is by far the best way to do it!
I did it as part of a trip down to Morelia, and I followed a route fairly close to that of the train on that segment, from Chihuahua to Los Mochis. I spent two or three nights with an American who has a place in Urique, a small village at the bottom of one of the canyons.
Doing it by motorcycle was a truly amazing experience.

We spent two weeks traveling Copper Canyon on our own. We used a company named California Native to make the major arrangements and were happy with their service. We had hoped to do a lot on horseback but a major rain/snow storm squashed that idea at Divisidaro and a missing/drunk horse owner never showed in Batopilas. We made up for it to a degree in Cerocauhi and found makeshift ways to get around in other areas. We used the train to go from El Fuente to Creel.
Try not to ride the train on days when large tour groups are scheduled, or at least bring your own food on board.
