Last time I checked it out, flying between Zihuatanejo and PV was prohibitively expensive. It required a flight to Mexico City to get between these two coastal communities.
The bus would be far more affordable, although I don't have any prices. The bus trip would be around 14 hours, but there is a connection to make in Lazaro Cardenas that make extend the duration.
