The Zócalo in Quiroga
The beautifully pristine Zócalo and its Monumento a la América in Quiroga, Michoacán

I keep meaning to put together a trip report of a visit we made in June to the Lago de Pátzcuaro region. My clients, of course, keep finding other things for me to do. But I'll get one up sooner or later.

Anyway, one day we went to see the rather fascinating pirámide with its yácatas at Tzintzuntzán and then drove over to Quiroga where we had a wonderful lunch at a restaurant fronting the Zócalo and later shopped for leather goods. It was striking to see how clean the city is kept. Why can't we seem to do that here? (scratching my pointed little head)
