6th time in Ixtapa. Stayed at the Villas at the Barcelo (Royal Holiday Member). Pool pump went out the last week, pool water was murky w/lots of floaters--hopefully they will get all the parts installed before some one gets ill in the pool! Otherwise everything was great! Found some of our favorite restaraunts were closed due to low season (Golden Cookie, Chez Paul's & Tamales y Atoles Any). Found some new places: Franks--great thin crust pizza (sports bar)! Mama Norma & Deborah--great food and superb coconut cream pie--had it 5 times while we were there! (Deborah bakes it special). Enjoyed a wonderful sunset at Villa de la Selva--alway excellent food and atmosphere! Pizza Uno always great for pizza. Finaly went to the buffet and entertainment at the Barcelo--Hollywood show and International show--superb--would highly recommend any of the performances. Dancers are energetic and versitle--each show different. (Oscar is the best dancer--a must see!)
Did a lot of walking on the beach--saw some jelly fish parts and was careful to walk around--had not seen any jelly fish on previous visits--perhaps the high tide brought them in?
Went to relax and get a tan--mission successful!
Next time, we want to stay a month--any suggestions on a rental w/pool and kitchen? Perhaps on the beach?
