We just returned from a week at Troncones and Casa Gregorio. We have 3 and 5 year old daughters, and we found the accomodations to be perfect for a family adventure. the pool is wonderfully maintained by Ernesto's wonderful staff of Rene, Santa and Mario. We also found some of the best shell collecting we have had on the beach North of the Casas. We also walked up the beach to Manzanillo Bay and had nice snorkeling in the tide pools just before the bay, and then had a delightful lunch at the inn. While at the Casa, we had three of our dinners prepared by Anjelica, and her meals are delightfully local and reasonably priced. Ernesto was attentive to all our needs, and was a consistent help to us in arranging things to do or providing information. all in all, the week was exactly what we were hoping for: a quiet place in a setting ideal for relaxation that is far from the typical resort scene of Ixtapa! We would highly recommend Casa Gregorio to our friends, as well as the beautiful beaches of troncones.
