We stayed in the Bahia Suite for 2 or 3 nights in February, then moved to the Zihua Suite, which we had originally booked, but which they claimed was occupied when we checked in (although we had booked in September and brought our confirming e-mail with us.) Both are nice. The Bahia Suite has a higher ceiling, but does not have the kitchen bar counter or as private a balcony as the Zihua Suite. However, the Z. Suite's bathroom ceiling continually leaked the entire 10 nights or so we were in it.
The only difference we could see, other than additional square footage, over the master suites, was that we had a kitchen sink and a 2 burner electric stove (which we used twice).
That said, the staff is very friendly and helpful and they did "compensate us" in a very nice way. Nice enough that we have booked 16 nights for next February, but we are just going to get a master suite. We did not feel that the price difference was worth it.
Let us know what you think after you look at all the rooms. The place is overall a great hotel and locat1on.
We love Zihua!!
