I remember in 1999 when we first showed this to several captains in ZIH, there were some wide eyes, open mouths and comments of which "Madre de Dios" was the calmest. Ed & I have had many discussions with Captains over this, it is a common trait of Sailfish, something akin to you eating a bad taco. Sounds like the captain on the Black Tuna needs to talk to some friends.

As to stress, last year Ron Hamlin (who released over 981 Sails last year), tagged a fish one day and caught the same fish the next day. First time that had been done. Sounds like the fish went right back on schedule.

As to sharks, the largest and most common around ZIH is the Tope, reaching about 3' max., they eat baitfish. Several talks with captains say that a large shark in ZIH waters is a very rare thing.
