Procesión en la Calle Juan N. Alvarez durante la mañana de Viernes Santo
Zihuatanejo México 2005

Here you can see a procession of fieles as they pass down the street. They stopped right in front of my house and asked to pray for the welfare of our brothers who cross the border to the north in search of el sueño americano with the hope of working to earn money to be able to send home to help their families and loved ones... only to find despair, hardship, deception, mistreatment, humiliation, persecution, violence, illness, and death. Then a girl from Bolivia spoke and described how her brother died after being shot like an animal by norteamericanos after saving for years the small fortune to pay the polleros who traffic in human misery who abandoned them in the desert. She barely survived, hiding scared to death while she watched her brother die in agony and she could do nothing.

It was a very moving scene. Very serious. Very sad. Very personal. Chanting-singing asking the Lord to forgive them for the terrible act that was committed against Him on this day in history.
