I'm basking in the kind words... Many thanks!

Yes, not being on the beach is in some ways a minor drawback... and actually in some ways lends to surprising delights. It all depends on what one takes delight in. Our guests have often expressed the unexpected and valued pleasure of being in a position to experience the magical rhythym of life inside the village of La Barra de Potosi... the sweet way the village wakens in the early morning, the vendors calling their chants, the kids playing in the streets at night, a chance to really get to know the neighbors, close proximity to the evening restaurants etc.

Just to clarify though, Casa del Encanto consists of two properties... the Village House and the Beach Property. By the high season, we'll have our very own horse drawn wagon ready to carry our Village House guests to our beach property nearby. This fullfills a longtime dream of mine to be able to lie back on cushions eating grapes with a gang of kids in a horsedrawn carriage... through the village to the beach...fun!

We have made some delightful improvements to our beach property where we provide hammocks in the shade of palms, shower and a small enramada for the exclusive use of our guests. So even though our sleeping accomodations are not on the beach we do have beach as part of Casa del Encanto.. and now it'll be extra fun and easy getting back and forth.

AND last but not least our beach property - called 'Amorcito Gecko de la Casa del Encanto' - is where Lupe continues to offer her wonderful Swedish and reflexology massage (that is available for anyone... not only our guests).

Hasta pronto,
Laura
