Saladita is currently far less developed than Troncones. Lots are much larger. My recollection is that typical beachfront lots are about 20 M frontage with 200 M or more of depth. By way of comparison, a "standard" Troncones beachfront lot is 20 by 50 M.

Not all lots have electricity, although that will no doubt come with time. And with land owners who are willing to bear the costs. We bought our lot in Troncones in 1996 and there was no electricity in our area until 1998. Lot owners (well, some of us anyway) paid to have the electrical lines between Majahua and Troncones joined so that we could get electricity.

There is far less infrastructure currently in Saladita. There is limited vacation accommodation and restaurant service.

Perhaps one potential drawback (and draw?) for many people is the issue of telephone service. My understanding is that the telephone line ends many kilometers away and that there is no reason to believe that Telmex has any interest in putting in landlines all the way to Saladita. This effectively means no telephone service and no internet access... two things that many people seem to be finding indispensible.

Saladita draws surfers to to the very long runs that are possible.
