We returned about a week ago from zihua , after 11 glorious days. Really hard to adjust to the rain up here.
My fiance and I stayed at Sotavento & Catalina. Great experiences. The beach of La Ropa was phenomenal and so was the scenery. We never had a chance to go fishing, but not from lack of time or money yet we were so inclined to absorb the surroundings that it just never fell into place.
We used the public transportation to Petetalon for a day trip and that was a real eye opener. One of the best things though had to be, on Playa De Linda, we rented horses and rode the beach for about 1 1/2 hours for $20 U.S. each. A great ride with a fantastic guide who called himself FREDDY.
I hope everyone who goes to Zihua can have as much of a relaxing trip as us, for in my mind Ixtapa can keep their Senior Frogs. We ended most everynight with a rigorous crossword puzzle. Not bad for a usually active couple of 35 year olds.
