We have stayed at Villas Miramar for the last 8 years. It's a perfect location and the rooms are large. It was nice to have a sitting area separate from the bedroom & all rooms have a small terrace. The people who work in the hotel have worked there for years & are really friendly. We brought presents to Monica every visit & she consulted us when she read Stephen King and couldn't pronounce 'horror'! However, this year we are changing locales. In the last 2 years their prices have gone up from 45 to 95 USD a night. That's a little to high for us, though Monica assisted us in getting our bill reduced upon check out last year by calling the hotel's owner(she initiated this, much to our surprise!)Having visited Zihua for 9 years now (first year at Hotel Irma) we think Villas Miramar's location is absolutely perfect - easy walk to downtown, easy walk to La Ropa. And we've looked in all the surrounding hotels & b&b's. This year we've moved to Bungelow's Pacificos. Adding a kitchen for added excitement! If you don't mind the price, we do recommend the Miramar.
