My husband and I just returned from Zihua on Thursday (our 2nd visit)
and loved it (again). We stayed at Las Brisas (formerly Westin); we
really like this place. It is a happy compromise ("private" beach but
close to everything). (My husband travels WAY too much on business,
so he's pretty picky about accommodations--they can't be claustrophobic
or remind him of Holiday or Residence Inns!!!)
The rooms are ocean view with great terraces
+ hammocks. Gorgeous sunsets. Very clean and great service, particularly
when I entertain them with my high school spanish. We like being beach
bums during the day and then going into Zihua for dinner at night. We had
great meals (thanks to all of you for suggestions) at Tamales y Atoles,
La Perla, Sanka Grill, Pollo Loco, and La Casa Vieja (to name a few).
Perfect! We loved watching the Saturday night league basketball games
and the family gatherings...
Thanks to all of you for your advice, input, and suggestions. We look
forward to next year's trip!
