After thinking some, Light rays all travel at the same speed, but green, because of its frequency, bends more while travelling through the atmosphere. Because of that bending, you get to see a flash of it after the other colors have disappeared.
And to clarify and communicate concisely, I meant the reason you see it less from shore is that margaritas get in the way. (I don't imbibe offshore). Now if you were to buy me a margarita, on any of Zihua's beachs, I could go on about the precise color of the green....and how, north of 60, the Northern Lights affect you....and...
