Try the search box at the top of the page. Just type -- surf fishing
Pack your west coast style long cast spinning rod 9 to 15 footer, reel, tackle box, bring some red/white popper type lures, spare line (All that has to go in checked baggage) and plan on some 75 yards tossings. You might get lucky in the La Ropa area and hang a jack but you will need to go to Barra de Potosi or Playa Linda for better luck. There will be moderate to heavy surf which have strong undertows so wading isn't recommended. That also will mean renting a vehicle. A License is technically required but TO DATE not enforced.
Time you get through with all that it would be easier and about the same cost to charter a panga for the day, leave the equipment at home and have a captain that knows where the fish are. Several top ones, Ed Kunze at Mar y Tierra (011-52-755-554-4876, firstname.lastname@example.org), Ramon Olea, 554-4311, panga Oleaje, Adolpho Espinosa, 554-4554, panga Dos Hermanos, Marcos or Alejandro Vargas, 554-8146, just to name a few. Pangas run about $170 a day booked direct with the captains, a few are more and some locat1ons are more.
