We stayed at Bungalows Ley along with another couple the last 2 weeks in November and overall it was very nice, just what we had expected. Kerry and I stayed in # 7 and our friends were upstairs in #4. Both rooms were freshly painted (in fact, the entire place, inside and out, was either just done or being done.) We felt like the advantage to # 7 was that it was closer to the beach. Of course, that also meant that it was a looong walk up the stairs to the street. The only real disadvantage was that the window in the shower had literally no curtain and faced directly into the patio area of room 6, so it was a bit uncomfortable and we had to time our showers accordingly. Fortunately the neighbors were aware and would discreetly go inside or at the least, turn their chairs so they weren't enjoying the shower with us. The advantage to number 4 was the huge patio and the view, although I'd say our room had the better air conditioner. Kerry really liked the hammock and chaise lounges. The only minor problems we experienced there were that we had some small items stolen from our patio (a lighter and snorkel mask, our neighbors in # 8 lost some sandals. Neither of these thefts happened at night, it was in the middle of the day and we had just stepped inside to use the restroom or get another cerveza. We were away from the table for no more than 2 or 3 minutes. Oh, well.) Also, if you plan to pay using travelers checks, be aware that you must make them out to Gladys, NOT the Bungalows Ley, they WILL NOT accept them. No big deal, but we did have to go into Ixtapa to exchange them, the banks wouldn't take them. Overall, the Bungalows Ley is a really nice place, clean, good kitchens, right on the beach. The maids, Luisa and Elizabeth were extremely helpful and friendly and worked their butts off to make our stay well worth the minor inconveniences. We'd stay there again, but would probably not stay in units 2 or 3 because the AC vents from 4 & 5 blow hot air right under the patios. Bet you'll really like the place, have fun!
