We just returned from a week in Zihuatanejo and although we did not stay at the Vilas Ema, we checked it out. It was right across the street from where we stayed. They looked charming from the outside - lovely grounds, pool, verandas and gardens. We were notable to see iside a room because they were all occupied. The owners did not speak English, but were kind enough to call their daughter on the phone so we could talk with her. The daughter spoke excellent English. We had impression that they preferred long-term rentors (monthly) but this was not clear. Seemed like there were several older, retired types staying there. It was quiet, peaceful, and close to the beach. Charming in a Mexican, tropica way. We would definitely consider staying there in the future.
