Started our trip w/ a 6hr wait on board the plane, sitting on the runway before take off. Finally got to Z after sitting on board over 10hrs. Not fun but the trip was great after that & all was forgotten. Had a group of 8 so idea's of thing to do & timing didn't work out for the board parties. Stayed a Posada Real for a 2nd time. Every bit as wonderful as we remembered. The infinity pool is hard to beat & spent most of our days lazily poolside, much enjoyed by all. Had ideas of snorkeling & doing lots of activities but we just never seemed to get around to it. Did get to Z a few times to shop, eat, drink & enjoy. Stopped by Daniels, ran into Judy & said hello. Went to the Mexican Fiesta at the Dorado Pacifico which was ALOT of fun, good show, all you could eat & drink for $35 each, booked through our hotel Expo guy. As remembered the food was great everywhere we ate. Prices were a little higher than last yr., I assume do to the down turn in tourism but about the same & in some cases slightly less than at home. Had shrimp every day fixed all different ways as we just don't get shrimp like that in WI. Favorites were: Breakfast.. Soleido across the street, cheap & excellent Eggs Benedict, also great Thye Shrimp & Caesar Salad. Meza Luna also across the street, very friendly & great service, good food everything we tried from Shrimp to Steak to Fettucine & Pizza. El Faro (the piano bar) a little spendy but worth the experience, good drinks & great sunsets. Another favorite among the group was Benefucco's (SP?) at the Marina, gave us 2 free bottles of wine w/ dinner all food was excellent, great service & atmosphere. The hotel restaraunt also has good food. Night life was all w/ in walking distance, mostly spent at Carlos & Charlies next door & also enjoyed some time at Senor Frogs. Had great poolside & sunset happy hours at the hotel as well. As usual trip was way to short & back to the snow & work much to soon. Too long to wait between trips.
THANK YOU! to all who have shared ideas, answered questions & given the helpful advice. ENJOY! to all those lucky enough to be preparing to visit. IX/Z is hard not to like.
