We just returned from 12 wonderful days in Zihua. We were married while we were there on the beach in front of the Catalina...we found it to be the most quiet part of the beach at the time, it was perfect and we wouldnt change a thing. We had no guests, just myself and my new husband and couldn't believe how easy it was to get it all together. Thank you to all of the friendly people of Zihua.
We began our trip at the Catalina for 5 days, It was nice and quiet (low season) and felt we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We were so grateful to the staff at the Catalina for all of the phone calls and translating they did for us while preparing for the wedding. We were alittle surprised about the lack of up-keep, it wouldnt take much to do alittle painting or some repair???
We then moved to the La Quinta Troppo for our 3 night honeymoon. It was wonderful and again we had the place to ourselves. The food was great, the room (open air) was beautiful and the staff very helpful. We had more road noise there and were awakened daily by the construction and the load trucks but we would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!
We decided to go alittle more economical the last 5 nights and moved to Villa Emas, this was the only place we stayed with air, and happend to be the day we got sick (bad fish tacos in Barra?) so the air was very welcomed!! The place was clean and in a great locat1on!! For the price, you cant go wrong with Villz Ema.
We loved both Pattys and Elviras and all of their friendly waiters. We had our wedding night dinner at KauKan which was a perfect choice for the special night.
It was a magical vacation/weddingmoon and we will definatly be back!! Thanks Zihua!

o-yeah, we did find Lupita's place but it was closed everytime we were in the area??? Never did find Rob. We also delivered a bunch of supplies to the school (blue building way up the hill-that was an adventure) but the kids were gone, we pushed the supplies though the bars in the windows...has anyone heard if they were received ok? We were really hoping to meet the kids but time didn't allow.
