We spent the week of November 22-29 at the Villa Del Sol. Actually, a wedding was held at the hotel the first evening so we spent that night in a one-bedroom at the Residencias VDS on the hillside just behind. It was a nice contrast - we had a small infinity pool and a view of the bay with fireworks from the wedding that night!

It was a lazy week spent under the palapa reading books, body surfing on Playa La Ropa, and floating in the pools. Just heaven!

Most of our dinners were at the Restaurant Villa Del Sol or the Cantina (where I had the most wonderful sea bass), but our first and last evenings were spent at Puesta del Sol, where we enjoyed the dinners and the entertainment (watching Jorge flambe' the tequila shimp, banana crepes and Mexican coffee). I agree with another poster that his nephew Eduardo is 14 going on 30 - he's going to be quite the ladykiller!

The highlight of our trip was participating in the release of the baby Olive Ridley turtles one evening. It would be wonderful to come July-Sept when the females come ashore to lay their eggs.

We were going to try to look at some property with Judith Whitehead, but time got away from us, and then a family emergency back home forced us to stay by the telephone. Maybe next time!

All in all, a great way to spend Thanksgiving, but it is a bit jarring to come back to all the Christmas lights!
