Isn't that funny! We arrived Friday, November 21 and were staying next door to VDS at Villa Mexicana...that Saturday wedding had one heck of a party...lot's of music and dancing until the wee hours! Sounded like a lot of fun being had...but we had no idea what was being celebrated!
We also enjoyed dinner at Puesta Del Sol...the tequila shrimp were delighful as was the "Fountain of Youth" which was an assortment of sea foods prepared and served for two. The mexican coffe was delicious and Jorge and his staff very gracious hosts!
On Thursday evening, a female sea turtle came onto the beach in front of the hotel and layed 99 eggs. We felt so fortunate to be able to witness such an event. The eggs were removed by security personnel and taken to a safe place for incubating. I would love to have the opportunity to participate in a release of little hatchlings! Lucky you!
We actually came home (Southeast Alaska)to several feet of snow, so I know have an understanding of that jarring feeling. I am seriously still not used to having to wear all these clothes.
I just love this board...it helps keep the memories fresh and heightens the anticipation of the next visit. Thanks for sharing, Pam!~mz
