I stayed there in '98. The hotel is spartan with a dark wood theme. The room I stayed at ran along a little road that led to Madera beach. It is the only road that actually reaches the beach, thus there was lots of traffic (delivery trucks, taxis, etc.) The pool is TINY, maybe 15 by 20 feet. The little restaurant in front facing the beach was great for breakfast though. Dirt cheap at the time: It was hard to spend more than 15P. The beers were cold and 6P at the time. In short, if you can snag one of the coveted upper rooms that have (semi?) private terraces, you're laughing. My somewhat flawed room was only 200P at the time, so that's a bonus.
The Verdict: A great place to stay if you can handle living slightly rustic (no t.v., no shower curtains, small lizards in the room, etc.)
