Just returned from Las Brisas in Ixtapa. My husband Bill and I love the privacy of the resort--No vendors on the beach! We luv the sunsets from the happy hour at Lobby Bar. Raymundo, Cilio and Paulo are like old friends who welcome us back every year! Our biggest decision everyday was the pool or the beach? OK, sometimes we had to choose between the tall palapa or the short palapa. The beach is our favorite spot -- palapa #49.

Great food in Ixtapa and Zihua as expected! We had dinner at Beccofino's at the Marina. Excellent food, service is great and we requested the Miriachi band sing "Zihuatenejo". It was wonderful! Some friends saw us in the restaurant and joined in on the fun. We come to Ixtapa the same time every year and meet up with the same people wherever we go. It's always a blast.

Of course we went to Zihua. Great fish tacos at La Sirena Gorda! Friendly people everywhere. We were on the pier watching the boats come in with the catch of the day.
There was some excitement going on because a famous singer was boarding the "Libertad" with a camera crew. Her fans were cheering and waving her picture! Our Spanish is very limited so we didn't get the scoop. If anyone was there on March 12th or knows who the singer is, let us know. This is the first year we did not go fishing but we were still drawn to the pier!

Did some shopping in Zihua, drank some great margaritas too. Tried to find a soccer jersey for our son. We even brought pictures of the National Team and Club team jerseys. Ok, did more shopping in Zihua and Ixtapa!

Ruben's in Ixtapa has great margaritas. we loved the stuffed chayote! Also ate at Villa de Selva at the top of the hill. Excellent as usual.

We love the friendly people, the beaches and of course, the sunshine. We went to Los Cabos for our honeymoon but we always find ourselves returning to Ixtapa/Zihua!! Can't wait til the next trip!!!
