Aaaaaaah, the fabulous fricken "Coco Taxis"!!!!!
A Veeery 'refreshing' ride that we (economically) utilized regularly around all coastal areas! The funny thing was that with the even the slightest incline in the road, we each had one foot out the side (on the street) helping to 'push' the Coco up the hill.....!!!
And then there was the time when we rather desperately fit FOUR late afternoon revelers (one Mexican; one Brasilian; one German, and a Roo!) into a Coco south of Ancor.... Ouch!! Thanks for the delicious memory.
Yeah, what a friendly (and VERY accommodating!) lot Cuba was; what a howl, mate!!
And OH..... speaking of Venezuela..... ol Hugo Chavez is sure banging his (audibly insisted!) "Brothers In Arms", as Cuba imports nearly all of its refined gasoline from Venezuela, at TRIPLE the price 'at the pump' that we pay in Mexico....! VIVA La Alianza!
