The Grand Suite at Villa Carolina is a very lovely experience! We stayed there 3 yrs ago in October/November. The web-site pictures do not do it justice! The views are amazing and the suite is well laid out. You walk in from street level to the open-air living area. The living room has a private infinity pool with gorgeous views of La Ropa.We spent a lot of time in that pool just cooling off and watching the view! There is a very comfortable living room seating area of a couch and a couple of chairs. Bring binoculars to spot the beautiful birds. A dining room table and a "bar" area that looks into the very large and well appointed kitchen. They even had a pizza over (although it was not working when we were there) and 2 refrigerator/freezers, gas stove, all the stuff you need to cook if so desired. On the same floor is the Media Room which can also be used as a 3rd bedroom. It has a full bath. There is a stereo system that will bring music to all the rooms in the villa! Go up the staircase to the 2 bedroom suites. There is a landing with a couch and great views of La Ropa! The room to the right is much nicer than the other with a king bed and large balcony with a view. The room to the left of the stairs has 2 double beds and I don't think they can be pushed together (this may have changed, though, since we visited). The balcony for that room is small but does have a nice view. Bedrooms and kitchen have a/c (needed in summer and early fall) The common pool area is nice...no ocean views, but a large pool and lots of lounges. All and all, you can not go wrong with the Villa Carolina! Have a great vacation!
