Yesterday went out on a panga boat to blue water and caught two sailfish. One was released but the second brought in. The captain was very gracious, letting us go through pods of dolphins and slowing down to watch other sea life such as big turtles. One word of caution, if you want to do catch and release you need to make that really explicit up front (we should have been smarter I guess). Rented the boat for $150, gave the captain a tip of $40 ($20 per fisher) and thought it was great value. We brought our own beer and toasted the trip with the captain at the end. We organized the trip through Gabriel who runs a small Mexican restaurant near the pier and has a sign about fishing trips on his wall. Had a fantastic day!
