We are back and had a WONDERFUL 4th trip to the Z area!! We spent the first 3 days at Mi Casa Su Casa in Troncones. Enjoyed the hotel....quiet, clean, relaxing, and meeting some fantastic local people. Walked the beach, enjoyed some great food at local spots, spent a 1/2 day at the school and donated supplies ( a true highlight!). Went to church there, which we really enjoyed. Spent a day on Manzanillo Bay and liked that very much. Will probably stay there next year -probably at Manzanillo Inn (where Diego's restaurant is located).

Spent 5 days in Hotel Irma again. I can't get enough of that view! The staff was super friendly, remembering us from last year. Great food literally everywhere we went. A special note for Puerta Del Sol (just up the hill from Irma). Awesome! Killer view, amazing food that they often prepare tableside, and the most friendly owner. Reasonably priced too.

Spend a day at Las Gatos, a day on LaRopa, a day horsebackriding on Playa Larga and then Island Ixtapa. We had some Minnesota friends in town, staying in Ixtapa, so we spent part of a day at the Dorado enjoying the swim up bar. Took them back to Z for dinner at Sanka Grill....sooo good! Love that place!

We flew out on Saturday (3/31), early evening. Friday and Sat we saw a significant shift in the beach population. Many more Mexican families in town for break and to celebrate Holy Week. It was a refreshing change of pace and fun to be part of the excitement...although I am not sure a whole week of the big time crowds would have been good for us.

We are already planning our next trip for 2008!! Definitely the best trip we have taken. The combo of the Troncones time and the Z time was ideal!
