The new pool is wonderful at the Villa Mexicana---Its 5 feet deep --no kids allowed and sits right on the beach. Great place to hang out or cool off. I also did not think this place is as "basic" as everyone says. The tile flooring and shower are very attractive. The rooms were quite nice and everything is a few steps from the beach or the pool.
