I came across a Google Earth layer tool today that has some relationship to Mexico. The layer is available at http://www.cec.org/naatlas/prtr/index.cfm?varlan=english

The tool provides data on operations that are required to report their pollution outputs. The data is available for Canada, the US and Mexico.

I found it a bit awkward to use, so I recommend that people read the online FAQ to figure it out.

Of course, the information is presented in English for Canadian and US sites and Spanish for Mexican sites.

Once you get the hang of it, it makes sense to narrow the data to the province or state one is viewing.

(BTW, Tehuantepec is in southern Mexico and Tuktuyuktuk is a Canadian community on the shores of the Arctic Ocean.)
