We just returned from our longest and best trip to Zihua. We have been visiting about 6 or 7 times over the last 10 years. We we very pleased with our accommodations at Quinta Camelinas. The grounds and the pool were clean and well maintained. The pool was cleaned daily and we received maid service every 3 or 4 days. Deb Wilson our most gracious hostess offered to let us use the washer and dryer and we were free to help ourselves to clean towels and any kitchen condiments we required. Quinta Camelinas is more like an apartment than a hotel and is situated in a friendly Mexican neighborhood between Madera and Downtown. It's close to Judith Whitehead's office and the fire station. We enjoyed our daily walks to and from La Ropa and town.
We ate at:
Los Braseros- Pork tacos a must!3x
Ruffo's Grill- Fresh grilled seafood and a very reasonable price.2x
Sirena Gorda- Fish Tacos mmmgood
Hamburgers off the Cart- The Best ONLY the Vendor across from the Basket ball Court!2 or 3 x
Joe's- The best pizza. Try the sauces too!
Chendo- Cocounut shrimp for 100 Pesos!2x
Memos (Bills) Lasagne and Salad more than enough to split between two.
Jarrocho's- Different Coconut shrimp- You got to try it! Great food service & atmosphere!! 3X
Patty's- Great omelette's
El Manglar- The best Soupa and Calamari
Oh and don't forget snacks and treats at the pink bakery! It's a good thing we walked a lot because everything we ate was fantastic. I can't say we had a bad meal . It's just some were better than others.

Went to Las Gatas for a change having not been there for 10 years. Actually not much has changed. Other than Owen's is a shadow of its former self.

Hired a boat for a 3 hour cruise up to and around Ixtapa Island. Saw 2 turtles engaged in the act AMAZING!Thank You Santos

Other than that we spent a lot of time with old and new friends hanging and working on our tans.

Who can blame us for soaking up the sun- when we returned to -17 and snow!!!
Those Canadian winters....
Hast Pronto Amigos!!
Cheryl Y Roberto
