I thought you all who have left donated school supplies with us would like to see where some of your donations went. The children in the top two photos are some of the local kids my wife looks after, sort of like their guardian angel. The school in the bottom four photos is in a tiny community called Mata de Sandía located in the nearby foothills of the Sierra Madre del Sur along a bad dirt road that goes all the way to La Vainilla in the mountains. It is a typical rural one-room schoolhouse like so many in our state where children of different ages and grades study together and are very fortunate to have a teacher that actually comes all the way to their tiny community every day to teach them.
All of these kids and their parents were extremely grateful to receive your donations. Some even broke out in tears. Your generosity and thoughtfulness are making a truly positive impact in their lives. From them and from my wife and me please receive our sincere and heartfelt Gracias.
