Her funeral was really beautiful ... ALL the village was there and first she was laid out in her house at Casa Alegria and Irma prepared food in Tropic of Cancer so there was something to eat for everyone. At 4 pm the procession started on foot with her coffin being carried all the way to the village and down the main road to the road that the church is on. Despite a big trench where they are putting in drainage for the town (which Anita was probably responsible for) everyone proceeded to the beautiful church (that Anita was partly responsible for in all the funding efforts when it was rebuilt several years ago), and there she rested during a long Catholic service. Fortunately, her best friend Lorena arrived just almost at the end, so she was able to be a part of it. Then the procession started again and they walked with her to the pantheon, going over the bridge and to the first road past Costa Brava Restaurant and back in there is where the cemetery is. Anita would have been pleased with all her friends there to see her off.
