Up this morning at 6:30, would be 4:30 back in Lake Cowichan. Had a tea up in the open deck over looking the bay and read the thermometer 79.8 was going to be a warm day. Mrs. grumpy was up and ready before me today raring to get at Zihua, our friends that came with us also very excited about day 2.
Headed out for breakfast this morning, Frostbite's caretaker Charo had stocked our fridge and cupboards with supplies we sent in an email a couple of weeks before leaving, what a great service. We will cook tomorrow. We wanted to go to La Casa Cafe as we had great food and excellent service in Feb - didn't disappoint us this time either.
Walked through town and caught a panga to Playa Las Gatas for a day at the beach, great to be on the water with that warm wind blowing and that great ball of fire shining brightly in the sky.
Arrived at the New pier/dock at Playa Las Gatas and headed off to Otilia's.
Again we saw very few tourists and for a while had the place to ourselves, you know the routine if you've been before: cerveza, swim, cerveza, read, nap, cerveza, swim, eat cerveza - repeat until well done.
Got back to the Casa around 5 and had happy hour under the palapa on the top floor, what a view.
We are trying to learn more spanish this trip and with the help of our friends. We are mangling the language twice as bad now but we will still keep trying.
Took a cab over to Jungle Pizza for dinner and had a great pie, worth a stop if you like pizza like I do.
Headed back to the Casa to wind down for the evening and spent a couple hours under the palapa on the top floor and listened to the waves crash and the sounds of a bustling night in Zihua.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings,
