Though keep in mind that SOOOO MANY "Hecho en Mexico" appliances (while pricy) certainly ARE NOT U.S. quality.... which spurred my effort to import these "Hecho en The USA" items.... Especially the largest MX brand 'Mabe'! At ANY model price (for stoves, refrig, micros, etc.), the standard joke regarding their 'reliability' and functioning is "Mabe SI... Mabe NO"!!!
I brought down ALL NEW Viking and Wolfe gear when I moved, and "declared" them ALL as "used"..... The Trick is just to throw a little muck on um beforehand, AND, "scratch-up" the electric plugs-n-outlets to make them actually LOOK "used".... then you DON'T pay any import duty!

That's called your "Maneja de Casa" and is a somewhat time-consuming 'list' to put together (depending on the quantity of appliances and 'electronics' you are importing), but it is a fairly EZ 'step' in the moving process....
